OXBRIDGE
NW provides highly tailored programs across a range of Oxbridge subjects in order to maximise a student’s performance at each stage of the process. The process is split into the following three steps:
Personal Statement
NW’s tutors have combined hundreds of hours of working with students in producing high-quality personal statements. Recent changes to the format of this section have meant this has never been more paramount for students to craft unique and thoughtful responses to questions. Our tutors guide students through this process by providing subject-specific guidance tailored to the Oxbridge course, by understanding the students background and interest in the subject. This includes exploring potential topics with students through discussion-based sessions, recommending unique and relevant books, articles, essay competitions and many more resources to make a student’s personal statement stand out. This combination will ensure our students go into interviews fully-prepared and are able to portray their best selves.
Admissions Tests
The next part of the process is a subject-specific admissions test – at NW our tutors have all excelled in their respective test as well as developed a plerthora of experience in teaching students the ins-and-outs of each respective paper. NW offers proprietary resources for each admissions test that will give students an advantage in preparing for their respective admissions tests. For more information on a specific admissions test please contact us and we will put you in touch with a subject expert as soon as possible.
Interview
Finally, students will face 1-4+ interviews at their chosen University; we have found that the most common hurdle at this stage is students preparing for the wrong things due to the unnecessary lack of information surrounding the process. At NW our aim is to bridge this information gap by utilising our first-hand experience to explain exactly what the aim of an Oxbridge interview is and work with them to best utilise their time in preparation. Our tutors will work with students to create a thorough study plan which will include not only the requisite theoretical knowledge of the subject but also several drills and practice sessions that will enable the student to feel completely comfortable and confident in an interview-setting.
General consultations
As well as an end-to-end admissions service, at NW we offer general consultations on all thing Oxbridge, often times students find they have a number of questions not only about the process but surrounding topics including but not limited to:
- Oxford or Cambridge
- College selection
- Future career goals
We are happy to provide parents and students with specific tutors and current students to answer any questions in order to demystify the process.
